Good evening everyone, my name is Kay Daniels, a youth coach and minister of the Gospel, a relationship counsellor and entrepreneur. I work as an elearning officer at Covenant University. I am very glad to be here on this platform to share some tit bits on relationship ethos.
I would be speaking briefly today on a topic I have captioned Foundational issues to resolve in your heart before deciding to get enrolled in the institution called MARRIAGE
Marriage is interesting as long as you are willing to play according to the rules...
The rules of engagement is key 🗝️ to making marriage or any relationship for that matter work....
For ease of analysis, major issues to resolve in your heart before "saying, will you marry me? Or "I do" have been classified into the following ten categories...
#1. Background that is race or tribe, social class, status in society etc
Are you comfortable with his upbringing or her social status?
How comfortable are you with were he or she comes from?
Are you the type that will not date a man or woman from a particular tribe or state?
You need to have some form of self awareness before making these kinds of decision...
#2. Temperament by this I mean, personality, character, attitude, mannerism, ...
Different people come across to us in different shades ...and we need to understand this to make the most of our relationships. ....
Certain people are very authoritative, while some are democratic....
We have sanguine, choleric, phlegmatic and melancholic traits in various people....
You therefore must be aware of these traits and be sure that you are very comfortable around such people before making destiny dependent decisions....
Today I would stop at the third point, which is
#3. Education by this I mean profession, raining, self development, skills, abilities, competencies...
Are you comfortable with his or her level of education or exposure...?
Are you sure he or she would not take you for a ride knowing that you are not well educated or exposed....
Is he or she that kind of person that values continuous learning?
What is his or her disposition towards knowledge acquisition??
It is better to settle with an individual that is still growing than one that feels he or she knows it or have seen it all....
The bible says that for a soul to be without knowledge is not good...
Knowledge is key 🗝️ to finding a good partner that would be suitable for marriage.
